In connection with International Civil Aviation Day on December 7, 2022, the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA), and Minister of Transportation, Mr. Ursell Arends, launched Aruba’s online safety incident reporting portal.

The purpose is to promote a safety and knowledge culture in Aruba’s aviation industry.

The DCA recognizes that the public already contributes and will contribute to aviation safety in Aruba by reporting their concerns about safety issues they encounter.

With the portal, they intend to facilitate the reporting of suspected aviation safety abuses, irregularities, or lack of safety directly to the DCA without the risk of unwanted consequences for the reporter.

Once the DCA receives the safety report, they switch from a reactive to a proactive process where they can identify the deficiencies in reported aviation safety and implement improvement measures before it escalates or causes an injury to aviation safety.

With the help of citizens, DCA can keep your flight safe. The portal is available at http://www.dca.gov.aw/reporting.
