EAGLE BEACH — Eagle Aruba Resort & Casino is flying you to the next level with a state-of-the-art casino in a great ambiance. Not only to play but also to watch your favorite games at more than 32 HDTV while chilling at the spacious bar. Grab a breakfast in the morning or enjoy a fantastic lunch and after dessert treat yourself with a game. Since October 2018 the name of the casino changed from Tropicana to Eagle, nevertheless the casino still is part of mother company Icahn Enterprises L.P.
Icahn Enterprises L.P. completed the sale of Tropicana Entertainment Inc. some months ago, this being the reason of the name change to Eagle Aruba Resort & Casino. This was a simple transition in name only as our ultimate ownership has remained the same; Tropicana Entertainment was a subsidiary of Icahn Enterprises, L.P. (“IEP”) and we now report directly to the real-estate segment of IEP.
IEP is a diversified holding company with multiple operating segments and is traded on the NASDAQ under the symbol “IEP”. As of February 28, 2018, IEP’s market capitalization was $14.2 billion. As of December 31, 2018, IEP’s total assets were $23.4 billion, revenues were $11.8 billion and net income attributable to IEP was $1.5 billion.
Eagle Aruba Resort & Casino are proud to be part of an enterprise with strong financial metrics that has supported the development and renovation of this beautiful resort. You can see the commitment through the on-going renovations; in 2019 we will completed another block of 81 rooms bringing the renovation investment to over $28 million since we started the project in 2016. q
