Icahn Enterprises L.P. completed the sale of Tropicana Entertainment Inc. some months ago, this being the reason of the name change to Eagle Aruba Resort & Casino. This was a simple transition in name only as our ultimate ownership has remained the same; Tropicana Entertainment was a subsidiary of Icahn Enterprises, L.P. (“IEP”) and we now report directly to the real-estate segment of IEP.
IEP is a diversified holding company with multiple operating segments and is traded on the NASDAQ under the symbol “IEP”. As of February 28, 2018, IEP’s market capitalization was $14.2 billion. As of December 31, 2018, IEP’s total assets were $23.4 billion, revenues were $11.8 billion and net income attributable to IEP was $1.5 billion.
