(Oranjestad)—The flights from British Airways created new opportunities for Aruba in the European market. British Airways will be selling flights to Aruba, but also travel packages through British Airways Holidays and other tour operators. This opens new doors seeing as through this, Aruba has the opportunity to reach a wider audience.

On the inaugural flight on arch 26th, there was a small group of tour operators from England that came to visit the island as part of the familiarization trip (FAM trip), along with representatives from British Airways and A.T.A. These types of familiarization trip create the opportunity for operators to absorb more of the island as a destination, but also to share their own experiences with their clients.

Participants had stayed for a few days at Tamarijn All Inclusive Hotel, and another few days at Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort in order to experiences the different areas and hotel product. They also visited the Boardwalk Botique Hotel, Ritz Carlton Aruba, Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino, Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort & Spa, Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort & Casino, Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort and Aruba Ocean Villas. They also participated in a tour of the island to see and learn about the different areas of the island and a trip on the catamaran sail boat with De Palm Tours.

A.T.A. is grateful for all associates and team members that have made this trip for English operators one that is unforgettable.
