AHATA: 2022 average RevPAR is lower than in 2019

The Aruba Hotel & Tourism Association has published the latest hotel performance data reporting that in August 2022 Aruba hotels continued to recover strongly, howeverthe average RevPAR of the first 8 months still stayed below 2019 levels.

August 2022:

Occupancy: The occupancy rate was 82%, which is a recovery of 95% compared to 2019 occupancy rate.

ADR: In comparison to 2019, the average daily rate (for occupied rooms) increased by 22% to $289.64.

RevPAR: The revenue per available room was $238.52, which is a 15% increase over 2019.

Year-to-date 2022:

Occupancy: The average occupancy for the first eightmonths of 2022 was 74%, which is 14% lower than in 2019.

ADR: The average daily rate (for occupied rooms) increased by 9% to $310.05.

RevPAR: The revenue per available room was $229.31, a 7% decrease from 2019.

Timeshare:

AHATA’s Timeshare properties experienced a 86% occupancy rate in August.
