(Oranjestad)—Today the Dutch Caribbean celebrates Press Day. While the UN has set World Press Day for May, the tradition of celebrating on September 1st began in Curacao and spread to the other islands in the Dutch Caribbean.
To celebrate, the Aruba Today team is taking a day off to reflect on the importance of our work: Showing our visitors the other side of Aruba—our history, culture and way of life. In connection to Press Day on the island, the Aruba Today office will be closed today, September 1st, and there will be no new issue for September 2nd. However, we’ll be back September 3rd on your news stands. See you then!
