ORANJESTAD – Recently, the Minister of Education and Sports, Mr. Endy Croes announced that the School Games (Wega Escolar) Aruba this year takes place from May 26 to June 10, 2023.
The School Games were launched in 2022 by the Ministry of Education and Sports and IBISA. The selection process already took place, and the final competitions will start on May 26, 2023. For 2023, 40 schools are classified and are happy to compete for the first spot. All the schools will receive their corresponding uniform.
Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes was also present at this occasion and showed support for the second edition of the School Games. The Ministers thank IBISA, stakeholders, participating schools, and parents for encouraging their children.
The Prime Minister invites the Aruban community, particularly the parents, to support the children throughout the School Games 2023. She wishes all schools and participants all the best in WE Aruba 2023.
