The start of the celebrations in the cultural month dedicated to our National Anthem and Flag has resulted in great success.

On March 4, the National Cultural Concert, under the direction of Edjean Semeleer and his orchestra, was held.

On March 5, the Cultural Promotion Commission organized the 19th edition of “A song for Aruba’s Anthem and Flag” in the categories Children and Youth.

The results were as follows:

Winners 19th edition of “A song for Aruba’s Anthem and Flag” in the categories Children and Youth.

Children; 4 to 6 years,

Winner: Qu-Lainy Jansen.

Children; 7 to 9 years,

Second Place Jaymerson Kelly.

First Place: Ishem Howell-Brokken.

Youth; 10 to 12 years.

Second Place: John-Maynard Wever

First Place: Stephanie Quant.

Youth – 13 to 17 years

Third Place: Jorienne Angela.

Second Place: Daniella and Gabriella Boasman

First Place: Gismary Linarez.

Winners 25th edition Aruba’s Anthem and Flag Festival for adults.The 25th edition of the adult Festival organized by the Cultural Foundation for Folkloric Festivals took place on March 6, 2022.

The results are as follow:
Third Place Jerwin Hernandez – Fuerte – Tipico Suona – Composer Lurena Schwengle – Arranger Raul Piar.

Second Place: Mitch Almary – Hunto nos ta lanta bek – Tsunami – Composer Edselyn Figaroa and John Freddy Tobon Montoya – Arranger Michael Odor.

Winners: Ruth Gaarie & Stephanie Gravenhorst – Ora bo wak na shelo – Composer John Freddy Tobon Montoya – Arranger Federico Martis and Igmar Maduro.

The attending public enjoyed the presentations, and the local food, bar, sweets, and artisan work.
