Dutch King in discussion about medical care in Aruba and Sint Maarten during corona crisis

On Wednesday 14 October, His Majesty the King spoke via online video conversations with employees of organizations in the Caribbean part of the Kingdom involved in the medical care related to the corona outbreak.

The King spoke with the chairman of the General Practitioners Association of Aruba (HAVA) about the current situation surrounding the corona virus and the way in which GPs deal with the crisis situation.

He also spoke with employees of the hospital, the laboratory service and the relevant ministry in Sint Maarten about the consequences of the corona outbreak there and the impact of the crisis on their work. In this same context, the King will have a video call with the medical sector in Curaçao on 29 October.

By means of telephone and online conversations and where possible working visits, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima inform themselves about the consequences of the corona outbreak and express their support and appreciation for the efforts of so many in the fight against the pandemic.
