Recently, Kimberley Richardson of the Aruba Tourism Authority had the great pleasure to honor Aruba’s loyal and friendly visitors as a Distinguished Visitor and an Emerald Ambassador of Aruba. The Distinguished Visitor and the Emerald Ambassador certificate is presented on behalf of the Minister of Tourism, as a token of appreciation and to say ‘Masha Danki’ to guests whom have visited Aruba for numerous times consecutively.

This year I had the great privilege to honor mother, Frances Swidrak, and daughter, Kristine Swidrak from New Jersey, United states.

Ms. Kristine wanted to surprise her wonderful mother Frances, whom have visited Aruba for over 35 years consecutively, so the A.T.A. together with Yvette Tromp, the coordinator at Playa Linda, and Mr. Riecardi Irausquin, the Duty Supervisor at Chicken & Lobster Restaurant located at Playa Linda put together this special honoring ceremony for the mother and daughter duo, to commemorate Mrs. Frances for her love and devotion to our island of Aruba.

The Emerald Ambassador certificate is the highest certificate that we present, and is only given to a few, making every part of this event even more special. It is incredibly beautiful to see that Aruba still has so many loyal visitors, and that they even choose to bring along their families so they can experience the Aruba effect as well.

This mother and daughter duo stated that they love the island very much, especially for its year-round sunny weather, nice sandy beaches, beautiful sunsets, delicious variety of foods, its safety, and Aruba’s warm and friendly people whom have become like family to them.

Ms. Richardson together with the representatives of the Playa Linda Beach Resort presented the certificates to the honorees, handed over some presents and also thanked them for choosing Aruba as their favorite vacation destination and as their home-away-from-home.
