Who says we can’t have fun – even during a pandemic? With social distancing and safety protocol in place Sunset Grille’s door opened Saturday night to welcome you for an exquisite wine pairing dinner: food by Le Grand Chef Matt Boland and Duckhorn Vineyards wines presented by Pepia Est’s Raymond Kok.

Modern steakhouse Sunset Grille at the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino is known on the island for high quality food in an elegant setting against an elegant price too. If you ever wonder how wine and food delight tastes, be sure to sign up for a night like this. The first course was a winner already, the Caribbean Lobster Salad was presented like a diva, and the combination with the Duckhorn Sauvignon Blanc turned out simply divine. Delicious Veal Chop kicked off autumn and the Goldeneye Pinot Noir made the fall complete. We continued with a Rack of Lamb, firm but juicy, exactly right. It was combined with a Canvasback Cab. Rich Dark Chocolate Pot de Crème, paired with Decoy Zinfandel ended the culinary feast.

We had to let this all sink in to realize that we really missed tasting life like this. The excellent dishes, the supreme wines and the good conversations were all present during Sunset Grille’s splendid Duckhorn Vineyards Wine Dinner. We heard through the grape vine that more is coming soon, keep following us to make sure you are part of it next time.
