(Oranjestad)—On the serene shores of Eagle Beach, Costa Linda Beach Resort, in collaboration with Ms. Nicole Nadal, held its annual Memorial Day Ceremony on May 26th to honor the courageous men and women from around the world who have served, and those who have fallen, in defense of their nations.

Established in 2002 by the late veteran Robert Nadal and his wife Maureen, the ceremony has grown into a meaningful tradition for both guests and locals. What began as a personal tribute to U.S. service members has evolved into a moment of global reflection, recognizing the sacrifices made by individuals from all nations who have fought for peace and freedom.

This year’s ceremony began at 10:00 am as veterans, guests, and onlookers gathered along the beach in solemn remembrance. A commemorative wreath was laid gently in the ocean, symbolizing gratitude for the lives lost in military service worldwide.

Following the passing of her parents, Nicole Nadal has taken on the responsibility of organizing the event each year, ensuring their legacyand the ceremony’s spiritcontinues. After delivering a heartfelt poem, attendees were asked to stand at attention as the wreath was carried into the sea, followed by a moment of silence.

The ceremony concluded with refreshments provided by Costa Linda staff, offering a time for quiet reflection and fellowship. Marking its 23rd year, the Memorial Day observance at Costa Linda continues to be a meaningful tradition, honoring the enduring legacy of those who gave their lives in service to their nations.
