(Oranjestad)—We’d like to give a shout out to a couple who time and time again show how much they love Aruba! This couple have been coming to Aruba twice a year for the last 42 years and already have a booking for a 6-week vacation here in Aruba next year.
Winnie was a school teacher for 35 years and she was also the sole owner of 2 pro stock race cars with her son Robby as the driver. They competed for 25 years and won many 1st places. Skipp is a mechanic and has his own garage—Speed Garage in NY—so together they make a very good team at home and on the track!
68 years ago they got married and as all couples go through ups and downs, but love was their “secret sauce”. They love Aruba and our people and made so many good friends over the years. To this day you can still see them together on the beach. Winnie is 87 and Skipp is 86, but Skipp is planning to retire in 15 years—yes, in 15 years!
Over the years Skipp and Winnie have brought more than 120 of their friends and family to Aruba. We all want to wish this amazing couple many more years of happiness and see them back in January 2027. Congrats guys!
