For today we received a lovely message from Bruno and Eileen Santini from New York State, USA with their daughter Danielle and granddaughter Kaia from California, USA.
They wrote to us saying: “Aruba to me is,”about sharing the natural wonders and beauty of the island with three generations of my family and friends. We first came to Aruba in 1974 for our honeymoon and stayed at the Divi Divi Beach Resort. It was one of only two resorts on the island then. We had a wonderful time renting a motorcycle and traveling all around the island, from the California Lighthouse to Baby Beach and everything in between. Enjoying the spectacular views and meeting the amazing people of Aruba. Things were so much different then. We have been so fortunate to see the island grow and develop into one great destination for vacationers from all over the world. By land and by sea the island is one hopping adventure everyday all year round.
From our first dining at the Red Parrot Restaurant at the Divi Divi and tasting delicious dishes made with gouda cheese. To the incredible dining experiences of today choosing from all the different restaurants in Aruba. It is quite unbelievable hearing travelers talking about the many restaurants that their friends have recommended to them. Aruba has it all. the best restaurants, resorts, beaches, and activities that matches and surpasses many of the other islands of the Caribbean.
We start counting the days till our next visit to Aruba immediately upon returning home. From our first visit in 1974, to buying our two week time share at the Costa Linda Beach Resort in 2005 and coming every year with family and friends. Staying on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, Eagle Beach. How blessed are we? Aruba is our place where we forget all our daily chores and problems and just have a really great time. Most of the time it is just sitting on the beach, snoozing, swimming, watching the sunset and going out for dinner. Aah the simple life!
In 1974 we did not have cell phones but we had a camera and we still have pictures from our honeymoon.”
Thank you for sending us this wonderful message sharing what Aruba means to you with us and our readers!
